Overview

Vetted helps people look after their pets. It keeps health records in one place, sends smart reminders for treatments and appointments, and connects owners directly with pet professionals. It ships on iOS and Android from a single Flutter codebase.

My role

I implemented in-app purchases and notifications, delivered a full UI rebranding, and shipped multiple features and bug fixes. The team was agile: three Flutter developers, two backend engineers and a PM.

Hardest part

The rebranding. Restyling an app that is already live means touching every screen at once, and any screen missed ships looking like the old product next to the new one.

Instead of restyling screen by screen, I moved colours, typography and shared components behind a central theme, so the new brand applied everywhere at once and nothing could be left behind.

Architecture & stack

Flutter for iOS and Android from one codebase, with in-app purchases for the subscription tier, push and local notifications for reminders, and a AWS Lambda for back-end.
